A guide that is exactly one hour early or late usually deserves a timezone and offset review before a full reinstall. The scope matters: every channel being wrong suggests a shared setting, while one delayed station being wrong suggests a channel mapping or source-edition problem.
Measure the scope first
Compare two unrelated channels and one neighboring programme on each. Do not infer a global error from a single station. A time-shifted edition may deliberately run an hour behind the main channel and needs its own guide mapping.
Check layered offset settings
Some players can apply both a global guide offset and a per-channel correction. Either can outlive an earlier source change. Note their current values before testing a neutral setting so you can restore a working configuration.
Send an actionable correction request
Include the channel edition, programme title, displayed time, expected time and timezone. Those nonsecret details let support reproduce the issue more efficiently than a message saying only that the guide is wrong.
A practical sequence
- Compare several channels at the same moment.
- Inspect global and per-channel shifts.
- Report the exact edition and time difference.
An example
If every channel is one hour ahead, a global setting is plausible. If only City One +1 is wrong, the player may be using the main City One schedule.
Questions about this topic
Is one hour always daylight saving?
No. It can also be an edition mapping or manual offset.
Should I clear all app data first?
No. Preserve profiles and inspect the narrower settings first.
