A one-day trial is most useful when you know when access starts and ends. Ask support for the actual activation time and timezone, especially if you install the app long before you can watch. Do not infer the start from the download time or from the moment you first read the message.
Separate installation and activation
The player can be installed before service access is issued. A service can start the trial when it activates the account rather than when the first programme plays. Use the actual instructions rather than assuming a pause feature exists.
Choose a useful viewing window
If you can only evaluate the setup in the evening, explain that before activation. Support can state what scheduling is actually available. The supplied facts do not establish an automatic delayed-start option.
Keep the end time in your notes
A clear expiry record prevents a normal trial ending from being misreported as a new technical fault. If access ends earlier than the confirmed window, provide the stated activation time and the observed error.
A practical sequence
- Ask when the trial becomes active.
- Confirm the end time and timezone.
- Keep the activation message privately.
An example
A trial activated at 10:00 can expire the following day even if the customer first opens the player at 21:00. The activation instructions determine the actual window.

Does the first playback always start the clock?

Can the trial be paused automatically?
That capability is not established by the supplied project facts.
