A playlist-reset control can remove the source configuration associated with a player. Before using it, privately retain the legitimate details needed to restore the working source and understand whether the action affects one playlist or all configured playlists. Reset is not a harmless refresh button.
Read the confirmation
The publisher’s support material warns that resetting playlists can remove existing entries. Inspect the wording in the actual current interface before confirming.
Preserve recoverable information
Keep the authorised source details in a private credential store. Do not use a public screenshot or open document as the only backup.
Use a narrower action when appropriate
If the goal is to reload updated source information, use the documented refresh or restart process instead of removing all configuration without a reason.
A practical sequence
- Read the reset action and its confirmation carefully.
- Privately retain the legitimate restoration details.
- Use reset only when removing the configuration is intended.
An example
A viewer trying to refresh a list can create an empty setup by selecting Reset playlist instead of the documented reload action.
