A browser player and a native Smarters Pro installation use different environments. If the publisher offers WebTV for your use case, follow its current authorised route and supported input format. Browser media support and source security requirements can differ from a native application.
Use the publisher’s real web route
Do not enter provider credentials into an arbitrary site using the Smarters name. Start from the publisher’s current website and identify who operates the destination.
Understand browser constraints
A browser can enforce origin, HTTPS and format policies that differ from a native player. A source working in one app does not automatically establish browser compatibility.
Protect shared computers
Do not leave private accounts, saved credentials or credential-bearing URLs accessible on a public browser. Sign out through the supported route after the session.
A practical sequence
- Open the web route linked by the publisher.
- Check the supported input and browser requirements.
- Sign out and remove private session traces on shared devices.
An example
A stream accepted by a native application can fail in a browser because the browser applies a different security or media policy.
Questions about this topic

Should I use any public web player with my credentials?
