The supplied APK is identified as com.promax.ott, version 3.9. Its file label includes an IBO-player-edition description, but that label does not establish that it is the same package, publisher or licence as the separate IBO Player application. Use the support workflow for the exact installed build.
Package identity matters
An application’s filename and visible branding can differ from its Android package identifier. Record the actual package and version when asking about activation or updates.
Do not transfer assumptions
A third-party player’s portal, device-key format or activation terms should not be applied automatically to this Pro Max package. Support should identify which workflow belongs to the installed app.
Keep installation sources clear
Obtain each app through its own documented route. Replacing one with another solely because their interfaces look related can remove local configuration or lead to an incompatible activation process.
A practical sequence
- Identify the installed package and version.
- Use the support route for that exact application.
- Check separate third-party player terms before substituting another app.
An example
A file named with an IBO-edition description can still have the Pro Max Android package identifier rather than the third-party IBO package.
Questions about this topic
Does the filename prove shared publisher ownership?
No. A descriptive filename is not publisher-identity evidence.
Should I try every IBO portal with a Pro Max key?
No. Confirm the correct management workflow with the responsible support team.
